Ledger Live and Chorus One Join Forces to Optimize Ethereum (ETH) Staking

  • More than 7 million Ledger users can now access optimized Ethereum staking on Chorus One within the Ledger ecosystem.
  • The direct availability of Chorus One’s MEV Max Vault within Ledger Live will enable more users to earn more annual rewards.

Ledger, a well-established provider of hardware wallets, has announced a strategic partnership with Chorus One, a top-tier institutional-grade staking platform with over 60 Proof-of-Stake (PoS) chains. The partnership will enable more than 7 million crypto users to directly access optimized Ethereum (ETH) staking.

The collaboration will integrate Ledger Live software with Chorus One’s MEX Max Vault, a well-known MEV-optimized Ethereum staking solution. The Chorus One’s MEV Max vault enables users to increase the annual percentage yield (APY) by around 2.88 percent to about 4.81 percent.

As a result, the Chorus One’s MEV Max has recorded more than 93.8k ETH staked, which is currently worth over $228 million.

Before staking Ether on Chorus One within the Ledger Live environment, new users can choose between the existing hardware wallets including Ledger Nano X, Nano S Plus, and Ledger Stax. With the latest Ledger hardware wallet, you can then connect with a secure computer or mobile device using USB or Bluetooth.

In Ledger Live, you navigate to the Earn or Discover section depending on the app version. Within the staking feature on Ledger Live, search for the Chorus One MEV Max Vault option. Finally, ensure that Ledger Live has enough ETH for gas prices to facilitate seamless staking.

“It’s now on us to create products and services that are seamless and intuitive,” Brian Crain, CEO of Chorus One, noted. “What we’re doing with Ledger is a major step toward that vision.”

Meanwhile, Chorus One and Ledger are already exploring the introduction of additional features, including the minting of a liquid staking token osETH, and looped staking, among others.

Market Outlook

The latest collaboration between Chorus One and Ledger builds on years of mutual trust established via working together. For instance, Ledger Live announced a strategic partnership with Chorus One in 2023 to enable users to stake Cosmos-based crypto tokens.

The Ledger by Chorus One validator node has also supported Injective (INJ), Axelar (AXL), and Solana (SOL). Both companies value security and user empowerment, thus making the strategic partnership mutually beneficial from the get-go.

Furthermore, Ledger is used to secure more than 20 percent of the entire crypto market valuation. On the other hand, Chorus One has enabled seamless staking on more than 60 proof-of-stake chains since 2018.

Consequently, both companies are well positioned to grow exponentially over the years amid the mainstream adoption of digital assets and staking by institutional investors.
